Train Station Cuckoo clock

This is the famous Bahnhaeusle, or Station Cuckoo clock. Designed as a reproduction of the original 1885 train station clock the clock  was commissioned in honour of the Black Forest Railway Line workers who strived to complete the rail line through the Black Forest mountains in the 19th Century. The clock was finished in Walnut. A platform of dancers turn as the music plays. The twin melody alternates between Edelweiss and the Happy wanderer. 8 day rack-strike movement with a cuckoo call on the half and full hour. Manual night shut-off.
