Exquisite Hunter style Cuckoo clock

A remarkable Cuckoo clock that truly demonstrates the carving skills in the August Schwer Workshops.The Clock is dominated by the magnificent Stags head and antlers, above two cross barrelled Guns as a head piece. The clock fascia is adorned with hand carved Oak leaves, branches and hanging game, a rabbit and a pheasant. The clock dial is surrounded by a post-horn and on the bottom of the clock is an intricately carved game bag. A platform of dancers turn as the music plays.

The case is finished in an antique walnut finish. 8 day rack-strike movement with a cuckoo call on the half and full hour. The high quality Swiss (Reuge) music plays a twin melody that alternates between Edelweiss and the Happy wanderer. Manual night shut-off.
