Cuckoo clock with Mill Wheel and Bambi Deer

This Cuckoo clock shows a typical Black Forest House in a timber frame style. It depicts a Forest scene with a number of hand carved Deer, two of which leap under the dial as the cuckoo calls. There is also a water wheel and a platform of dancers that turn as the music plays. The case is finished in an antique walnut finish. 8 day rack-strike movement with a cuckoo call on the half and full hour. The high quality Swiss (Reuge) music plays a twin melody that alternates between Edelweiss and the Happy wanderer. Manual night shut-off.
