Cuckoo clock with carved Bears

This Cuckoo clock depicts a Forest scene totally dominated by two very detailed and large carved Bears. The clock is rich in Forest decoration, with many Fir trees in various sizes, bushes, wood blocks and a tiny hare hidden amongst the stones. There is also a high pitched roof with hand laid shingle tiles. The dancing platform turns as the music plays, but unlike the usual figurines they are dancing squirrels. All the figurines are hand carved and hand painted.

The case is finished in an antique walnut finish. 8 day rack-strike movement with a cuckoo call on the half and full hour. The twin melody alternates between Edelweiss and the Happy wanderer.
