This is traditional style Chalet clock which depicts the village of 'Furtwangen' in the Black Forest. The lady on the spinning wheel is shown wearing a tall golden yellow hat, which is traditional dress for this small town. Young, or unmarried ladies wear a flat black hat. Also depicted is the woodchopper preparing logs for the winter as his wife is weaving thread. Decorated on three sides with fir trees and a water wheel.

This is a musical Cuckoo clock, twin melody clock with a platform of turning dancers.

8 day rack-strike movement with a cuckoo call on the half and full hour.
